Gate Refurbishing

Quality - Craftsmanship - Beauty

Has the Arizona sun destroyed your gate or fence?  Most discount fence companies will install a metal gate with untreated pine wood slats and give you a rediculous cheap price.  They walk away and and within 6 months the wood is turning brown and cracking.  Within 2 years it's splitting, paint is chipping and rusting.  And within 5 years your neighbors are wondering if your house has been abandoned.

At 6 Star Properties AZ LLC we do not take any shortcuts.  When we refurbish your gate, we make it better than new!!

Homeowners like the idea of hassle-free composite (plastic) slats.  However, if your gate only has 3 anchor points, then those slats will warp quickly.  Most gates only have 3 anchor points.  If you want composite wood, then we can weld in extra anchor points!

We prefer to use Cedar or Redwood.  Both choices are economical, rot-resistant, bug resistient, and look amazing!!  Plus, they can last forever with some basic maintenance every couple of years (spray on a sealer).

The Process:

Step 1.  Measure the existing slats so new replacement slats can be cut to size

Step 2.  Sand all 6 sides of the new material for a smooth and beautiful finish.

Step 3.  Stain and or Seal. We use a UV and Waterproof sealer to give you years and years of worry free beatuy.

Step 4.  Remove rust and paint chips from the old metal gate.

Step 5.  Make any repairs to the gate, replace broken springs, adjust the latch, fix sag.

Step 6.  Mask off the area and repaint the metal fence to look like new.

Step 7. Attach the new slats to your gate with new hardware that is painted to match.  Each bolt is secured with a liquid thread lock to prevent it from coming loose and getting lost (which will ultimately cause damage).

Step 8.  Seal the entire metal gate and wood with one last coat of spray UV/Waterproof sealer.

The result is amazing and your gate will be the envy of your neighborhood.  Call today, and we can give you an estimate to make your gate look AMAZING!!

Don't settle for less.  Don't accept untreated pine.  Don't accept composite slats if you only have 3 anchor points, they WILL WARP!
